Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on the 5th of August to begin its second season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. Her true love in life was writing. In fact, she won an Emmy. Also, she won one Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk show. The Talk is a show which examines the current news with five female hosts. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS News' weekday morning program The Early Show in 2002 as well as in 2010, before becoming the host of the talk show. Her previous roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo following the events of 9/11. In Cairo, she scoured down and talked to the father who commanded hijackers to an eye-opening, fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She interviewed celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Jhansson Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert deNiro and Jennifer Lopez. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). In addition, she was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first position in broadcasting was working as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalism idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel for the du-Pont-winning Columbia show on primetime, Anatomy of a Riot in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots.
